Have you got the invitation letter? Have you gone thro the pre-assesment stage? If you are going to apply for the first time, the invitation letter stage has been removed. You need to fill up the AINP009 form and send it to Edmonton, AB. They will review you application and send you a nomination letter, if approved. This process takes about 5 months currently. With this invitation letter you then apply to CIC, Buffalo for your PR.

There are 2 steps.

1st Step AINP application -- Edmonton, AB
2nd Step PR application with nomination from AB -- Buffalo

You still have not answered diva's questions.

Have you got the invitation letter? Have you gone thro the pre-assesment stage? If yes, could you post your time line so your questions can be answered correctly.

here is a good starting point
