Hi everyone!

Glad I found this forum, and I hope to be more involved when I start my application.

I graduated in May 2012, and found full time graduate work a few days later. I have now worked full time for more than a year, and so I think I am eligible to apply for the Canadian Experience Class. When looking at the application form, I have to provide references for the past 3 years of employment. Does this include the many (lol) part time positions I held during school? I worked part time in Pizza Hut, and Best Buy (only during the xmas period) and others. Or does the reference only apply to the full time position I hold currently.

Thanks in advance for any help!

They ask for everything for the last 3 years - so providing it won't do any harm. Many people only provide ref. letter from the "skilled" employment they are using for their CEC application...

Ok thanks. If I don't send in a reference from Best Buy for example, do you think it will do my application any harm? I worked there only during the xmas period so less than 8 weeks. I doubt they even remember me!

I don't think it will do any harm... However, if you can get it, I would!

You do not need to include occupations that are not in the Skilled Occupation List. It clearly says in the instruction manual " List only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code."

So, you need to include skilled occupations with NOC code only.

It does say this on the instruction manual, yes. It also clearly states on the documents checklist to provide ref. letters from ALL canadian employers for the last three years.
