quick question about German passport/Canadian VISA

I have a question on behalf of the hubby. So he is due to get his German passport in June and he just got the visa to come to Canada (i sponsored him) and he wants to know about if him moving to Canada before June and getting his PR will affect his eligibity to get his German passport?


Any ideas?

Probably not, but if he takes out Canadian citizenship, he can lose his German citizenship.

But actually according to this, if he has strong ties to Germany (i.e.: relatives, property wise, etc) he may be able to acquire Canadian citizenship with permission from the German government:
