quick question about fee payment!

Hello everyone!

I've got my husband's immigration application pretty much ready to go, we're planning on mailing it off to Mississauga on Monday, then the great Buffalo wait begins! We just paid the sponsorship $75 fee and the application fee $475 (so $550 total) and have the receipt from the website to print off!

It's probably because I'm insanely stressed (put the whole application together this week pretty much with no help from him lol) but I'm confused about exactly what I do with the receipt. I know to include it with my sponsorship application, but the part I have to fill out, is it supposed to have his information on it or mine? The sponsorship fee is for me, but the application fee is for him. It was paid with his credit card if that counts for anything also. Whose name... sponsor's or the actual applicant?

Sorry, I'm just so frazzled at this point, can someone give me a quick answer? Thanks! <3

You can put the sponsor's information on the payment receipt.

You are recommended to pay the $490 Right of Permanent Residency Fee (RPRF) now if you're not too tight with money. According to CIC, if you pay RPRF along with your processing fees, it will reduce the processing time of your application

Thank you so much! I thought it was my information, but this process has made me second-guess myself so much, I just wanted to confirm. :)

We actually had planned to pay it all at once, but unfortunately our "check engine" light came on in the car the day we were going to pay... we're hoping that we can pay the second half of the fee once we have the money, we don't plan on waiting until the whole thing gets processed.

Random note but my check engine light went on in my car a while back and it was actually because i didn't hear "3 clicks" when tightening the gas cap... i took it to the place to be checked and that's all it was... they said it would reset itself and the light would go off after a few fill ups and sure enough it did. :) Hoping the issue isn't too major for you guys!

I'm impressed you put everything together in one week! It takes a lot of work, I've been doing it for a month now on and off. Way to go for finishing it! :D
Good luck to you guys!
