Questions: Sponsor my parents

Hi,

Can someone please help to answer the following questions?

1. I submitted the Sponsorship application forms for my parents about a year ago. Is it OK that my parents submit the immigration application when the Sponsorship is approved?

2. If the answer to Question 1 is "NO", what should I / my parents do now?

From the CIC website it looks like that is the process. Have you received the PRA from CIC yet?

Here is a quick exerpt from the link above-
After CIC receives your application, you will be notified of the results of the assessment of your sponsorship application. You will also be sent the permanent residence application kit to send to your relative(s) overseas.

I only got an acknowledge letter, which said that the sponsorship application is in progress. Well, the whole process takes about 4 years now.
