I applied for a PGWP 2 weeks ago, and should get a decision in 4 weeks (a week after my study permit expires). What would my legal status be if I get refused, do I have to leave Canada immediately, or is there some transition period that is allowed? Say I'd like to reapply for a PGWP after it got refused will I be able to do so from inside Canada with my study permit having been expired? Should I apply for a visitor visa right now before my study permit expires to be safe?
Another scenario: I am also considering accepting a masters offer if my PGWP is refused. Will I be able to apply from inside Canada if I'm not on staying on any active permit? Also can I legally start my studies if my permit hasn't been processed yet?
Feel free to skip any questions!
