Questions regarding travel history: HELP please!

Hi everyone,

I have questions about the travel history section. I tried to find an answer but I was unable to get a clear answer.

(1) Below is a part of my travel history. I took an overnight flight from Canada to the US on 2017/04/27. I left Canada on 2017/04/27 and arrived in the US on 2017/04/28.
In this case, when should be the "To" date for my Canada stay? Should it be the same date as my arrival date to the US (2017/04/27) or the date I actually left Canada (2017/04/28)?

I have the same issue with my flight from the US back to Canada. I took an overnight flight from the US to Canada. I left the US on 2017/05/01 and arrived in Canada on 2017/05/02. I am not sure if I should use the date that I actually left the US or arrived Canada.

I am just concerned that I leave one day of gap in between countries. Can somebody please help me?

(2) Also, I moved a few times in Canada (Vancouver to Calgary - Calgary to Banff - Banff to Vancouver - Vancouver to Victoria - Victoria to Vancouver). Should I declare all my trips within Canada? I just left Vancouver and Calgary only because they involved flights. Can you please help me with this? Thank you.

The gap is a one day gap between my “To” date in Canada (April 27, 2017) and “From” date in the US (April 28, 2017) as I took the overnight flight from Canada to the US.

Also, another one day gap between “To” date in the US (May 1, 2017) and “From” date in Canada (May 2, 2017) as I also took the overnight flight from the US to Canada.

I think you are putting multiple entries for a single travel.

Just put one single entry

Country travelled: USA
From : 28/04/2017
To: 01/05/2017

According to the instructions, you should include all trips outside of your country of origin or residence, so technically if you're not Canadian and not currently living in Canada with a Canadian address, you should include trips to Canada. I guess it probably doesn't matter, because the intent of this form is to figure out which police certificates are required, and you don't need to provide a Canadian police certificate. With that said, I would personally try to follow the instructions to the word, so RIP my sleep and hair.

I personally think the April 27/28 thing is fine, like on the 27th you were in Canada and on the 28th you were in the US, seems pretty normal. You're fortunate you didn't take a cruise ship trip on the pacific ocean for a week.

I’m a resident of Canada and I have an open work permit.

Basically I provided all the details of my travel history like this
- before coming to Canada: all trips out of my origin country
- after coming to Canada: all trips out of Canada
