hi,
i ve questions about proof of funds .My brother has more than required funds available but in the form of some saving bonds ,r they r good enough to show for proof of funds or he should ve cash only. Secondly he shares these bonds with the name of my father , can the joint bonds ll work or he has to show them to his name only.thirdly he has got almost all his funds available in Pak Rupee,so will Pak Rupee funds can be accepted or the funds or bonds shd be only in CAD$.Also i need to know tht CIc ll require bank statements of how many previous months at the time of submissal of docs. He applied from Berlin office.Any expert opinion specially by PMM or by any well known member ll be highly appreciated.Thanx in advance

1. No, as they are not unencumbered.
2. It has to be in his name the settlement funds.
3. Pak. Rp are not convertible in Canada, has to $, €, £, or similar.

Hi,
If yr brother can get statement from Branch Manager of Saving Bonds, showing current value of the bonds, it should work. He should have authority to encash bonds with his signatures.
Applicant do not need funds in $. Pak rupee will be ok. At the time of immigration, he should transfer these funds to US or CD $. Bank statement should be needed if funds are in Bank
Good Luck,

I made my comments, so the OP can decide what s/he wants to do. Try landing with settlement funds in Pak Rp.
