So one of my friends has a 3-year diploma as of now and he is planning to do a Postgraduate diploma one year program in Canada. We have a couple of questions regarding this.

1) So after finishing that PG diploma, if he plans to apply for a Permanent Residency as an inland applicant. Does he need to evaluate his old 3-year diploma through WES?

2) Another question: So if he finishes this PG diploma he will be given a one-year work permit. If he finds a job for himself and assuming that he gets an offer.
I want to know if this job offer can be included in the express entry application (as a valid job offer) for those extra points?

For a 3 year PGWP..he will have to complete a 2 year study program.. even a 1 year 2 courses of PGD would do well. 1 year course are risky as you might face issues of searching for job n all

1. If he wants to claim points for it, yes, it must be evaluated

2. The employer would need a positive LMIA for it to be a valid job offer.

If he is serious about applying for PR, he should be taking a minimum 2 year course in order to get a 3 year work permit. Many on 1 year PGWPs fail to get the required job/experience and have to leave. Many on 3 year PGWPs aren't able to qualify as well.
