Hello everyone,
My wife and I are about to fill out and submit the forms for an extension of her stay. Though we both were wondering about question 10 under "I want to extend my stay in Canada until" for exactly what we would put as a date? We both understand that the processing time can reach up to 100+ days so if we simply put 6 months after the date of her visas expiration we would maybe get 1-2 months more overall.
We're just curious as to how we could say we want a 6 month extension with this predicament? If we put say 6 months after a rough date of processing I assume that would look pretty bad on the both of us which is something we want to avoid.
Another thing we were wondering is that in the checklist they request for a stamped receipt, is this omitted if we use the online payment system?
I was also wondering if it would be acceptable for me to write a letter and provide pay stubs showing my income to support my wife since obviously she has no income or financial support being unable to work?
Sorry for all the questions this is the last one, we've read in the instructions that you are placed in an implied status after submitting your application and it reaching the processing facility. Does this mean that so long as we have proof that the application reached Vegreville Facility and was accepted she is able to stay until a decision is reached?
Thank you all for your time and any help is very appreciated.
