Questions on showing Proof of Income

Good day!..I am starting to process my documents for my family of 4 members for the MPNP. My target is to submit it within the next 6 mos. I am the principal applicant , I am the wife and I am 45 years old...However, my husband (engineer) is turning 49 next year Jan 3,2014. I read that the evaluation of documents can take from 6 mos to 1 1/2 years. My question is what if by the time my docs are approved, my husband is already 50?..would that mean he can not come with us? What can I do about this? Thanks
