Hello!
I'm working on filling out forms for my wife, we are applying for her through the outland process. I am a Canadian citizen by birth and she is from South Korea. We met and got married in Canada but now we are both in South Korea and wanting to come back to Canada.
Just wanted to confirm that we applying using the correct package. We are using the family sponsorship outland application. We have the following forms filled out:
IMM 5533
IMM1344
IMM 0008
IMM 5406
IMM 5532
We have a few questions on what is needed for our application.
Under Employment/Source of support it is asking for both the previous years notice of assessment as well as a letter from my employer. I am working in Korea now but I am wondering if this is something that we would still need?
Although Korea does have a type of family booklet I am not sure if it is needed for the application. When checking country specific requirements it doesn't list it but the check list says to provide it if the country has one.
For the proof of relationship to sponsor it asks for a joint bank account statement. Unfortunately Korea doesn't offer joint bank accounts but we do have a joint bank account in Canada with some savings stashed away in it. This is not an account that we use often though. Should I still include a recent statement of this in the application?
For proof of relationship we will have the following information:
Joint lease in Korea for our apartment
Joint Utility bill
Korean ID cards showing the same address - In Korean - Do these need to be translated?
Facebook print out of public status
Reference letters from both friends and family stating our intent to return to Canada and start a family there
20 Photos of various trips and events. Including wedding in Canada
Is there anything else that we should include besides maybe our Canadian joint bank account statement?
Any other help or comments is greatly appreciated!
