Hi,

Im new to all of this and Im about to lodge application with Sydney office. Im confused on several things though so I thought I would throw this out there. I am a Canadian Citizen sponsoring my Australian husband. I currently live in Australia, with my husband

Once I have lodged the application, am I able to return to Canada for several months for contract work? I would obviously need to return to do my interview and if needed, additional documentation. But can I return to Canada to work for several months? Will this affect anything?

Also, if not intending to settle in Quebec, my husband does not need a CSQ? So therefore I can leave that part of the application blank on IMM 0008?

Is there a specific way to arrange our paperwork, forms, photos and supporting documents when we send it in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should be no problem for a Citizen

CSQ - Only for Quebec. You should mark the section that does not apply "not applicable"

Opinions vary, IMO place the forms in the order as shown on the check list.
When answers do not fit on a form, add a page as an appendix, refer to these documents from the forms and on each additional page, state the immigration form number and the number of the question you are answering.
Scan cards and any sentimental stuff (keep the originals safe at home), place all the scans and photos in a large word document (this will allow you to annotate the items without damaging them).

Run a search on the forum, there are lots of ways to organize your application, others will comment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your application should be sent to Case Processing Centre - Mississauga first. Just thought I'd throw that in there, since you said "lodging it with the Sydney office", so it's not clear to me if you realise it goes to CPC-M first.

There's no problems if you come back to Canada to work, remember that you may be asked to provide proof of your intent to re-settle in Canada full-time when you spouse gets his PR.

However you choose to arrange the package, make sure that all the documents are checked off on the checklist, that all extra pages are correctly referenced and headed with the applicant's name, DOB and the number of the question that is being answered, and that it is easy for the IO to see why you included supporting documents. No staples, but paperclips are allowed.
