Hello everybody.

I have a couple of questions i'd like to ask.

1) For a spousal sponsorship, do I and my wife need to send everything all at once? What i mean by this is if we need to send the application, fbi background check and medical exams all together?

2) I always thought there were 3 steps to overcome but what i've heard and read nowadays is just one step. Is this true?

3) How long are the medical exams good for? 12 months???

4) How long is the FBI background check good for?? 3 months??

5) Has anyone been accepted lately here in buffalo? How long exactly did it take you from the day you first sent the application until u received your visa?

Thank you very much.

You do not need to send the fbi background check and medical exams checks together but they will be requested once the sponsor gets approved, so to eliminate delays it is recommended that everything is sent at the same time.

2) I always thought there were 3 steps to overcome but what i've heard and read nowadays is just one step. Is this true?

I am not sure what you mean by this... But there is 2 steps to the application the sponsor part and the applicant part. In the applicant part there is 3 part to the application which are the background check, medical exams and making sure the relationship is genuine.... If this doesn't answer your question please be more precise as to what you mean.

3) How long are the medical exams good for? 12 months???

Yes the medical exams are good for 12 mths.

4) How long is the FBI background check good for?? 3 months??

Background checks are also good for 12 mths.

5) Has anyone been accepted lately here in buffalo? How long exactly did it take you from the day you first sent the application until u received your visa?

Everyone story is different and the timelines change for each individual but you can look on cic website here is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp

I hope this helped :)

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer these questions.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The 3 part process question is something i'm not sure of.
This is how i think it is
1) My wife applies to be a sponsor and gets accepted to be a sponsor in Quebec.

2) We together apply in Canada for the spousal sponsorship. We get accepted.

3) We both go for an interview in buffalo for a final review.

Once again, thank you very much.

You are mixed up a little.

1. You send the sponsorship and PR application together to CPC Mississauga.
2. If approved for the sponsorship portion, CPC Mississauge will send your PR application to Buffalo. With the approval from Missisauga, you apply for the CSQ. See here: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/sponsors-sponsored/index.html When you receive that, you send it to Buffalo to be added to your file.
3. If an interview is required, they will only interview you (the applicant) in Buffalo if that's where you've chosen the interview to take place. Your sponsor will not be interviewed.
