Hi Guys,

I am currently filling out my application form for the CEC express entry, and I have few questions related to the work history part. To give a background about myself, I studied in Canada for two years (international student) prior to working full-time. What does the following mean?

1.Date XXX first became qualified to practice in this occupation
If the "primary occupation" is:
  • a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
  • any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)
Question: Is this the date you started working for the firm that you wanted your work credited for?

2. Which of these categories does XXX's job fall under?
  • No work permit required
  • Work permit required, no LMIA required
  • Work permit and LMIA required
Question: As I have mentioned, I transitioned from an international student to a worker. What should I pick on the choices?
Looking forward to your response! Thank you in advance. :)
