I am a scientist from China, and will come to Canada next year for a one-year postdoc fellow study. I know that I will apply a closed work permit. My wife and kid hope to accompany me during my stay in Canada. For my kid, I can apply a study visa and permit for her when I apply my own work permit. My wife has had a visit visa for multiple entries to Canada within 10 years, and has two entry experiences in 2017 and 2018. She applied this visa at the beginning of 2017. My question is: can my wife use the current visit visa and apply a one-year visit record to accompany me for the whole year, when we three enter into Canada and meet the border immigration officer next year? She doesn't wanna work, and only want to take care of the kid and me. So the OWP is not my first priority, Thanks a lot!
