14-08-2018 ?
I'm about to enroll in a IT Project Management post grad in Conestoga (where rentals are cheaper than Toronto area - if any other place is nicer/cheaper, please tell me).

I already applied to Express Entry with 330 points - so I will take that course to raise this mark.

So... here's the questions:

1. What is the average earnings for the part-time job during the course? I know that the minimum is $11/hr, right?

2. What are the chances of getting a job in a preferred area (IT in my case)?

3. After course completion I'll ask for PGWP. Can I get the job offer supported by LMIA during this period? (probably paying and convincing the company that I'll work my bones to them if they help me with this)

4. After PGWP expiration, can I change it to a normal work permit in order to continue working there? Do I need any help or sponsor from my company?

5. How much they pay during PGWP period? Will they pay the same amount as I see on Job Bank IT openings?

6. Can I, after finishing the 1st course, enroll in another one in order to extend my PGWP period when asked? (ex.: continue studying for more 1 year in order to get a 2 year PGWP)

7. If so, do you think that is risky? Considering that they could cancel this option sooner than we think?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!!

See you in Canada :)

1. Yes - it will be around $11/hour before tax.
2. The chances that you will find an IT related part time job are extremely low.
3. It tends to be very difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process. But some have been successful.
4. You need an approved LMIA - which means you need the support of an employer.
5. It's really up to the company how much they pay you. Assume it will be very difficult to secure an IT role at a bank while on your PGWP.
6. Yes.
7. Your choice.

Thanks scylla!

But actually when I say Job Bank, I'm talking about Canadian Job Bank, government site that holds openings from Monster, Workopolis and others.

Just double checking on question #6, if I finish my 1st enrollment, I start right next semester for the 2nd enrollment and finish it, shall I send both degrees to get PGWP for the whole period?
