Questions about Sponsor forms

I have 3 questions about a few of the sponsor forms.

SPONSOR QUESTIONNAIRE
1. For question 7 you need to provide your employer over the last 5 years. The company I work for was acquired by another company, so I've had continuous employment with the same company for 7 years. When answering this questions, can I put the name as Company A/Company B with details of the employment dates? Because I did not change jobs but the company was just acquired by another company. You also need to provide month salary/income. How do you answer this piece if the job has spanned 7 years? Is it supposed to be an average or the latest?

Similiar to this question, I know we need to provide a letter from my current employer with salary, hours worked, and length of employment. Again, this is the company that acquired my company. My service has carried over, so the letter indicates I've been with the new company for 7 years. Will this cause any issues?

2. For question 14 I know roughly when my husband met all my family members, but I'm not 100% on the exact date. Is this going to cause issues? If I put June 19th and it was the 11th, is this a problem? I know the month and year, but the exact date is hard to remember 4 years later.

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
We need to provie the originals of all forms, except a photocopy of the SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT. Is this correct? I would have thought I'd need to send all the originals.

Thanks for your help!

Canbrit, you need to obtain something called a 'Letter of Attestation from your place of employment. This letter will give your dates of employment with the company, the number of hours worked per week [or average if you fluctuate], your annual salary, and should be signed by the HR person or a manager in the absence of an HR office at your place of work. This would address your first question. You can also provide paystubs for the past 12 months as that is all they are looking for....the past 12 months PRIOR to your application. So, if you apply in May, go back to April of last year, etc.... In this letter you present, make sure they discuss the company history [the takeover etc...]. If your company is publicly traded and there were newsletters [briefs] detailing this takeover, you should be able to obtain something [even online] that you can print out and include. If all of that fails, write a letter explaining the situation. The bottom line is to be as clear as possible, and explain the situation - full disclosure shows you are not trying to 'hide' anything....

As for your second question, they are not quizzing you....they are trying to assess the genuine nature of your relationship. It is within reason to understand that some small details might be sketchy. Be as detailed and accurate as you can - but don't fret if you met them on a Tuesday and it was actually Wednesday! The bottom line is if you are honest in your account, that is all that matters. If there was some occassion that focused around meeting them [a holiday etc...] include that in a brief letter to them, when describing your history in greater detail [if that is what you choose to do - I would recommend that, but not all people do this, nor is it requried].
