Hi all,
I’d appreciate some advice on my situation.
In October, my wife and I applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to visit my sister, who is a Canadian Permanent Resident. The visit is planned for December 2024, and we submitted our biometrics shortly after applying. However, I’m concerned that we might not receive the visa in time for this trip.
Additionally, I’ve recently received an invitation from the Canadian government to attend a business conference in March 2025 as part of my work as a government employee in my home country.
I still intend to visit my sister and don’t want to change the purpose of my initial application. Should I submit a new application for the business conference in March 2025? If so, would it affect the outcome of the original application? Could the visit visa be refused because of the new application?
Thank you for your help
