CIC requested my wife to submit RCMP criminal record check. Below is the email. Has anyone done this before in Canada? By reading the email and RCMP' website, it looks like we only need to go to the local policy service station to scan her fingerprints. The local policy station will send the e-fingerprints to RCMP national headquarter in Ottawa, and then the Ottawa headquarter will complete the criminal record check based on the fingerprints and send the check directly to CIC's address as shown in CIC's email. Is my understanding of the procedures correct? Need expert's urgent advise. Thank you very much.
