Questions about my father's visitor visa application

Hi, I have received my study permit and will go to Canada this Fall. Several days after I received it, my father decided to accompany me to Canada because he wanted to assist me with settling down in Montreal as well exploring the city with me for a week.

So, I wanted to ask several things.
Firstly, my father and I will depart together on the same plane on the same date. What purpose of visit should he choose in his application? Is it tourism or visiting family?

Secondly, on his application form, he must fill out "Name, address and relationship of any person(s) or institution(s) I will visit". What should he fill about on the fields? Is it about me or the school I will attend? If it's about me, then what address should he fill if I haven't got a housing / room to stay?

Thirdly, my father is currently employed. So, he will only stay for about a week before going back to work in our home country. Does he need to make an SOP / letter of explanation and attach it on client information section?

Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

It is always best to tell the truth. Explain that he is accompanying you to school for a week to settle into school. If he shows his spouse and/or other children are not coming, property records, enough savings, other international travel, long term well paid job, etc. it is a realistic situation. Would not suggest he book his flight before getting the visa.

Your father can choose "Other" and provide a brief explanation.

Then he can put N/A and provide an explanation.

It's always a good idea to provide a letter of explanation.
Thanks for the advice. Btw, how about write the hotel he will staying at instead of N/A? Or should he stick with putting N/A in the fields related to the person/institution he will visit?

Thanks for the advice. Yes, he has already received letter of employment from is HR officer stating that he is still working for his current employer. As for purpose of travel, he should choose "Other", as Mary Zhang suggests, right?
