I recently received my BOWP for two years and had a question regarding one of the conditions on the work document.
Context
The work permit is valid for 2 years. It is an open work permit with "Employer" listed as "Any". The location of the employment is listed as "B.C. NES". Which means I cannot work in any other location other than BC.
Question
I currently work for an employer in BC. It is a remote job but I live in BC and often travel to other provinces in Canada for shorter trips and work remotely from there. Is it a cause for concern if I take a trip to my home country and work from there for sometime? The company is an ever-remote organization with employees from all across the world. But my base location in the company's database is BC and I have lived and worked in BC since the time I arrived in Canada 3 years back. Since then I have not travelled back home or out of the country or lived in any other province.
Any idea if this condition on the work permit applies to someone who is working remotely for a BC based organization?
