Hi guys,
I'm currently working (no LMIA; less than a year) on PGWP, which is going to expire soon. I've just got AOR for EE FSW, and now applying for BOWP. I'll probably have to work for the current employer a bit more but am willing to switch employer if I am allowed to.
I have two questions regarding the form IMM5710E:
-----------------
1) Q3: "I am applying for one or more of the following( check boxes given below) :
a. A work permit with the same employer
b. An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
c. Restoration of your status as a worker
d. Temporary Resident Permit”
I wonder if I should choose a) or b)? I worry choosing a) will give CIC officer the wrong impression that I'm applying for a closed work permit.
2) “Details of intended work in Canada:”
I select "Open Work Permit" for the work permit type, but for the "prospect employer", should I fill in the current employer or just leave the whole section blank? If I don't fill this section, should I still put the current employer in the employment history later in the same form? Again I worry claiming that I have a job offer from a specific employer might confuse CIC officer and cause him to ask me for LMIA.
-------
I found out about an old post in 2013. canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t147650.0.html. Not sure if the tips mentioned there still apply today...
Thanks in advance!
