So I and my wife finally received an email back about our application and things seem to be good so far.
Now we are tasked with getting a "Police Clearance", "Medical Check" and "Biometrics" for my wife, but there are some minor things that have me a little concerned. For reference, we met and got married in Japan, I being Canadian and my wife from the Philippines.
1: My wife is on a 2 week trip back home with her mother in the Philippines when we received these document requests. With how strict I've heard the process being, I'm worried that if she were to get the medical check and biometrics done while she's there it would create doubt for the staff processing our application as to why they weren't done in the country we applied out of. Could it potentially create confusion, questions, and delays for our application?
2: For the Medical Check it says "Panel Physician will submit medical results to IRCC for assessment". Does that mean we won't need to mail anything ourselves? As it stands my wife will be in the Phillippines for another 6 days, but it will take around 7-10 business days to process. If that's the case receiving physical documentation and sending it ourselves would potentially cut things pretty close if we were to mail it ourselves. On top of that, I'm not seeing any address we would have to send it to either.
3. Similar to questions #2 except with the Biometrics. I'm not seeing any address we would mail anything to, so would this also be submitted through the office and leave us with nothing to do on our part?
4. The Police Clearance is the only one that lists an address we can mail it too along with the option to submit it online for convenience. Of course, I would much rather submit it online for immediate transfer, but would it be better to send the document itself instead?
Sorry for the large and poorly worded questions, in a bit of rush to get these out of the way.
Thanks to any and all that can help!
