Hi all! So I'm getting ready to flagpole for my nz IEC. Some last questions left..

Should I bring all documents with me? (what I submitted on IEC, eg criminal records paper)
What is a good amount of money to have is 5 grand good? Is 10 grand too much? Should I just show bank statement showing 5000 cad?
When flagpoling, what do I tell the US officer? (Niagara falls Port of entry).
I renewed my passport AFTER I got my Poe letter. Do I bring both my cancelled passport and new? As well as I've been living here as a visitor since 2016. Should I show my visitor extension approval letter from January 2017 to the cbsa too? And if they ask, what can I say as my case is a bit unique and I have been living with my partner. (the money is technically all his too, I didn't have a job to save up for that, but the bank is conjoint.)

Many thanks in advance.. I'm just very nervous I'll get turned away by cbsa!
Edit :can anyone recommend me an insurance company that offers 2 years? All I can find are one year max plans! Thank you!
