My PR Card got expired in May ,2015 & I did apply to renew it after that. I also applied for citizenship last year & I took the test 1 month ago & I passed it. Now waiting for oath ceremony. Problem is I am trying to get a job as I am graduating soon but right now I haven't got my renewed PR(takes 166 days to process) which will take time & also not my citizenship proof. I have been trying to call service Canada but had no luck. I might go to their office in person to ask. Before I go, can someone tell about any temporary document or proof I can get so when employer asks for something so I can show them. Recently, I got a call from one employer & the interview was going fine but they asked about my current status & I said them about my PR & they didn't proceed my application after that. So I can't even apply for a job now for this problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Your SIN should be enough for the employer. You can always show them your landing documents and expired PR Card. You don't have to go into detail about your situation. The company that refused to progress the application may have had concerns about your ability to travel (if this is an important aspect of the role) or any other number of issues that are hard to infer from a conversation. Maybe see if they can give you some feedback on the interview it may be helpful to give you some tips. Depending on your Local Office and if your citizenship application is straightforward then typically you should oath by around 15 months for most Provinces as CIC has committed to speeding things up. Maybe you have to decide if spending 50 bucks for PR Card renewal is a better option than having prospective employers no longer consider you.
