Good afternoon!

I’m sorry to bother you guys.

I don’t know if I’m writing at the right place. I am seeking some information for my brothers-in-law as I don’t know how to orient him.

He’s from Honduras and is living in the US with his 14 years old daughter since August. He’s in Virginia. They were caught by immigration at their arrival. They were detained few days, then he was put a GPS at his ankle and immigration check on him every week.

His brother, my husband, and I are living in Quebec, Canada. We would like to receive them here but we do not know how to proceed. I’m a Canadian citizen and my husband his permanent resident of Canada.

Where do we start? What can we do? Is it something doable?

I thank you very much for your time.

There's really no way for you to help them unfortunately. You cannot sponsor them for PR and they won't be able to get any sort of temporary visa approved for Canada (e.g. visitor visa, work permit, study permit).

If your brother-in-law wants to immigrate to Canada, he will have to qualify and apply on his own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry. That's really the only feasible option.
