I have recently submitted an online application for a study permit and I was later prompted for police certificates for several countries.
I have successfully acquired and submitted all the police certs, except for the FBI clearance since it has a much longer processing time (at least 3 months).
I was not aware that I needed the police certs when I started the application. Factoring in the processing time and the fact that I have just applied for the FBI clearance, the document will reach in late August. In their letter and application site, I have read that a letter of explanation or a proof that I have applied for the cert may be accepted in place of that document, so I went ahead with this.
However, I recently just received another request from the office, asking for that document (FBI clearance), given that I have submitted the LoE and proof of application previously. (It was the same request as the prior one).
Does anyone have a similar case or have any advice on how should I proceed?
