We are in the process of getting all the spousal sponsorship documents together. On the guideline site page, it said we need to get documents certified. Does it apply to only certain documents? Obviously we cannot send the sponsor's original passport, divorce certificate, citizenship certificate (my hubby is originally from UK but now a Canadian citizen) etc so he will have to make a photocopy of them. Do documents like that all need to be notarized? When he applied for canadian citizenship, he sent the immigration tons of documents, but he didn't have to get any of the documents notorized.

We would appreciate your help on figuring this out. (I am pasting the paragraphs in question below.)

Thank you very much!

his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.
