Question to Indian Nationals: OCI and e-Visa at the same time?

I got my Canadian Citizenship and got my Canadian Passport. I have also surrendered my Indian passport last week.
I intend to apply OCI in the next couple of weeks (I am travelling this week so I cannot apply for OCI this week).

My questions is can I apply for an e-visa as well in parallel to my OCI application? I may have to travel to India in May-June this year.
I understand that I could possibly delay my OCI application but I was wondering if I could apply for OCI and apply for e-visa at the same time.

Any advice would be helpful :)

Hey, I read in the other thread earlier that you can apply for e-visa while your OCI is in process. It was in one of the pages of this thread (I don't remember exact page).
