Question SuperVisa expiry. Best, next steps?

Hello Seniors,

Looking for some guidance on my situation.
  • My mothers passport is expiring, and she currently has SuperVisa
  • Her passport expires in Jan-2021, and so does the Supervisa
  • She is currently with me in Canada
  • I do not want her to return back home, due to COVID-19 and also there isn't anyone to take care.
  • I have applied for Parents Sponsorship in 2019, and still no progress on my application. It is with the LVO. I check everyday for progress, but there is nothing.
I am not sure what to do now? She can be here until Sept.
  • I have start the process for passport renewal. Will the SuperVisa work with the newer passport?
  • Do I apply for a SuperVisa again? Or just a regular multiple entry visa? What is the better option?
  • Is there anything that can be requested to speed up the PR processing?
  • Also, she has a US visa. Does that carry over on the new passport? Or do I need to re-apply?
  • Can I just apply for a long extension in Sept-2020 ? Or will they not provide a stay for longer than Jan-2021 as the SuperVisa expires then?
Will appreciate any other feedback, thoughts, comments.

Thank you!

She needs to renew her passport and apply to extend her visa. Likely the same with the US. Nothing you can do to speed up PR processing. She could apply for a regular visitor record if you are getting close to the deadline with no progress.
