Me and my common-law partner are currently filing out the forms needed for the common-law sponsorship application. After reading the information given to us on the site. We found out it's possible for me to also apply for an open work permit while my application is pending.
- Work permit (including extensions) – per person $155
- Work permit (including extensions) – group of performing artists (3 or more) $465
- Open work permit holder $100
- Restore your status as a worker
My question is: Do I need to pay for both the "Work permit (including extensions) - per person $155" and "Open work permit holder $100" in order to obtain an open work permit? I believe I do, but I just want to check in with you all before I accidentally pay and send in the wrong forms!

First, some background information: I'm being sponsored by my common-law partner who is a born Canadian citizen. We're going through the Spousal Sponsorship program and I'm also applying for an open work permit. I'm currently on visitor status, but before that was working here from March 2017 - March 2018 and was studying here from February 2016 - February 2017.
After browsing the Canadian Government site for a little while, I checked what fees I need to pay in order to send in an application for my open-work permit together with my sponsorship permit. I stumbled upon this section "Pay your work permit (including extensions) fee - Canada" where it gives me a couple options.
- Work permit (including extensions) – per person $155
- Work permit (including extensions) – group of performing artists (3 or more) $465
- Open work permit holder $100
- Restore your status as a worker
My question is: Do I need to pay for both the "Work permit (including extensions) - per person $155" and "Open work permit holder $100" in order to obtain an open work permit? I believe I do, but I just want to check in with you all before I accidentally pay and send in the wrong forms!
