Guys, I'm applying "outland" but im already in Québec. Reading through the quebec website I found out:

"PRACTICAL ADVICE"
For a sponsored person already residing in Québec: If the sponsored person's application for permanent resident has not already been submitted, you could send it at the same time as your sponsorship application to the Canadian government. This policty applies only to applications submitted by Sponsored Spouses and common law partners.

Does it work only for inland process?

I guess inland/outland does not matter to them as long as the sponsored person is living in quebec at present and I guess it also makes sense that the sponsored person will be living in quebec unless you hear back from quebec immigration.
That could save a lot of time.
Good luck and let me know how it goes

Ok thanks.
According to me its same for Inland and outland.
If the sponsored person lives in Quebec you can make use of this clause.
Even inland applications are processed in a VO. So go ahead and apply at the same time.

Ok in the IMM0008 form you have to tell if you already applied for CSQ.
Once you submit IMM0008 to CIC you cant apply to immigration quebec because in your IMM0008 you would have marked as No for CSQ.
Right?

Is it with me or when you change the website language to "French", this "Practival Advise" is not available anymore?

It makes lot of sense to me that you either apply to CIC and Quebec at same time and indicate in IMM0008 that you applied for CSQ.
Or wait for CIC to send you a letter to go to QUebec.

What is the confusion here?

Hi Guys,

I have been through CIC website and reading this forum for months and it seems I am still lost as to how to proceed for Quebec outland . lol ::) :p

Situation is as follows:

  • I have been residing in Greece (Canadian Citizen with dual citizenship ) for the past 7yrs
I have lived with my albanian BF in Greece (common-law) for the past 6 1/2 yrs
I am now leaving back to Canada - Montreal as of May 20th, he is going back to Albania.

I cannot understand OR find WHICH exact forms I must initially submit for Quebec Outland... :-[ Please bare with me I have been reading so long and I still feel stupid :-[

I read for Quebec Outland you must send ALL the application to Missaussauga and wait for Quebec Selection Cert., when I go to CIC and find the "package" for Outland Que. the checklist states to add the "undertaking form". Then I read that the Undertaking is done AFTER you send a certain "inital" package of Sponsorship forms and PR forms and receive the Quebec Selection. I am either looking at the wrong forms (pls see below list I cannot add link I am a newbie lol) or I have lost it. :-X

Can someone that has done Outland Quebec PLEASE help me? :'( :'( :'( I am leaving on May 20th and I want to know what I am supposed to do and make sure I can gather all docs locally here and from my BF before we part yet I have absolutely NO idea what I am doing and I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown from all this Reading, Googling, etc :'(

Also the Medical is good for 12mths, police reports for 3mths, Processing time for VO in charge of Albania (italy) is 14mths, does that mean if I do figure out WHICH forms I must send for QC outland that by the time they're processed all his docs will be expired? :-\ I am SO SO lost........

Here are the forms I HAVE found for QC outland..

Quite possibly you guys are complicating it more than it needs to be. The choice to apply inland or outland is only a concern for CIC and not for MICC.

Here is the order of steps you need to go through:
1. You fill out Part 1 and Part2 (outland or inland depending on your choice).
2. CIC sends the sponsor a letter of approval.
3. You fill out the Quebec forms (http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/sponsors-sponsored/apply/undertaking-application/index.html) and pay $264 if not more now.
4. In the meantime, CIC sends your forms to the appropriate location (depending if you applied inland or outland).
5. Quebec sends the CSQ and alerts CIC that everything is fine.
6. You wait like the rest of us.
