All,

Got a quick question here. I do understand the fact that we cannot show property as proof of funds for Canadian immigration purposes under FSW category.

So if I have a property under my name and I sell it to someone with payment due date at some point in future, can I use it to show as proof of funds ?. I will have a notarized sales contract stating sales value with payment due date, property valuation documents, seller and buyer information.

on CIC website, I did see something that states you can show documents of property payable to you. Would this fall under that category or we cannot show property whatsoever ?

Thanks for help in advance

What I have understood is that whatever you submit as proof of funds must be cashable. A contract is not an actual cashable document so it might not be accepted.

Nope - you need to have sold the property already and have the cash.
