Hello guys,

On the new family sponsorship process it states on the CIC website that it will take 12 month to process outland spouse or common law app in the Philippines but it doesnt state about outland conjugal app.

Any ideas on how long this will take? I guess the old form is 16-17 months, is it still the same? Or no?

no one can really answer this question because it depends on the application itself, whether an interview will be requested and what visa office the application is being processed at. conjugal applications are known to be difficult to prove and can take longer than normal processing. there really is no "average" time for these types of applications.

There has to be atleast an approximate time frame just like what state on the old forms.

IRCC does not show time frames specific to whether applications are spousal, commonlaw or conjugal. They suggest that all applications intend to be processed within 12 months now, so the "approximate time frame" is the same as everyone else. There is no other timeframe available, except for the "trends" compiled by applicants on this visa office for their specific visa office. you will be hard pressed to find a "trend" for conjugal applications specific to a visa office, since they are few and far between. again, the actual processing time for conjugal applications will depend on the information provided in the application and whether IRCC considers the relationship conjugal or not. there is really no way for anyone to determine how long that will take. All you can do is hope for the best.

The reason why im asking is to gage as to when i can make my enquiry to CIC regarding my application. They receive my application last april 2016 for my partner in the Philippines. Will there be an impact on our application if we will enquire after 12 months? Will it prolong our app if we will enquire?

enquiring about your application has no impact on it's processing. either they will give you an update or they will give you the standard answer "your application is in queue. we'll let you know if we need anything". if you want to see how the progress is with your application, then it's recommended to request your GCMS notes. this will show you if anything has been started and what notes are made by the visa officer.

correct, they have 30 days to create and send the report. if they are busy with requests, it can take longer.
