Question regarding Landing in Toronto

I would be landing in March 2016 in toronto.
I as Principal applicant would land in march, and my wife and son would follow later on in April.
I have to show 19,000 CAD as POF. Can I carry all the funds as Travellers cheque with me, and my wife would not bring anything. Or would the immigration ask for some funds when my wife and son lands at Toronto?

You can carry all the funds; in fact, you have to carry all the funds. Your spouse will not be required to show funds.

Yes, you can land with your funds as travellers cheques. Your family doesn't need to come with any later on, all the best.

an endorsed statement will work. cannot say much about the regular monthly statements.
normally people get a signed and sealed statement on bank's letterhead.

means statement have bank logo becoz its paper statement which comes in mail box every month still we have to get sign of officer on it?

As I said, I cannot say for sure about regular monthly statement u get from bank.
I know that a sealed and signed statement on bank's letterhead works. A lot of people have done it including me.
