I don't know how would be different having dependednt children inside from outside Canada since their eligibility checklist is same. I had two children and my spouse (living inside Canada with me) under my application and it took me 9 months to get PPR. Hope it helps you.

My children lives outside of canada and I am applying with them. from what u said, it appears that ur children and spouse lives here in canada with u so i assume ur case is different from mine.

I don't see a difference except perhaps in the time it takes to receive documents like your kids' medical results from your home country, but you have no control over it. Also, as your kids are younger than 18 and have not travelled, the background checks shouldn't take too long. Focus on submitting a complete application the first time to avoid unnecessary delays.

Note that if you provide an email address, you should check it regularly(including the spam/junk mail folder) and you can add the visa office's email to your safe list.
