Hi,

I had a question about the study permit proof of funds requirement. I'm a Pakistani living in Saudi Arabia. I applied to the University of Guelph in canada. While applying for the study permit, one of the conditions is that I should have a bank statement of the last 4 months showing that I have sufficient funds (Tuition + $10,000) in the bank for the last 4 months. My question is, is it necessary to have the amount for 4 months in the account. I'm looking to apply for the permit at the end of june or july, and by then, the funds would have been in the account for 2-3 months. Should I still apply for the permit. Any chances of getting accepted? The processing time in Saudi Arabia is 4 weeks.

You have to attach any legitimate proof that where this amount came from. No need to worry regarding timeline of bank statement.

How was your experience? How long did it take you to get your permit? And for how long did you have the money in your account? Thanks!
