Hi,

I'm planning to immigrate to canada, one of my friend has a consulting firm there, he said he will provide me an "arranged employment". This morning, he has sent me the offer letter (from his firm).. which states that i have been selected as some xxx specialist and its identified as swg-xxxxx (number)... in hr dept job database. This offer would go fine with application ??? or, do i need some letter sent by HRSDC explicitly ??

Thanks in advance...

do i need some letter sent by HRSDC explicitly ??

You friend should get a permission from HRDC to hire you first. Then send it to you, and you will send it to CIC.

What he has sent to you - could not be counted as "arranged job offer" but only arranged one is counted.

Last statement

You do not currently have a work permit and you do not intend to work in Canada before you have been issued a permanent resident visa.

You have a full-time job offer that has been approved by HRSDC.

And

Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your permanent resident visa is issued.

And

You meet all required Canadian licensing or regulatory standards associated with the job.

Note: You cannot arrange for an HRSDC confirmation of a job offer. Your employer must do this.

thanks for response regina,

so, you mean to say.. "my friend should send me the response (whatever he got from HRDC) to me ?"

Is the job a real one? By that, I mean: If your application is approved, will you actually work for your friend.

If not, then, in theory, you're breaking the law - at least that's my worry (I am in a similar situation with the same problem).

So Let's assume the following:

1. An employer offers me position.

2. I'm issued a PR

3. I Land in Canada and state that I do NOT intend to take the position offered (Or resign very quickly).

What happens now - am I free to take any other job I can get?
