Hello friends, I have a question about the 50 points from LMIA, my case is a bit tricky, so please bear with me, here’s the time line
1. LMIA the document itself, expired
2. Job offer based on LMIA valid until August 2024.
3. Closed Work Permit based on LMIA valid until May 2025
am I eligible for the 50 points?
According to IRCC, my LMIA based job offer must be “for at least one year after the permanent residency is issued”, in order to get 50 points.
in that case, it seems I’m not eligible for 50 points. So my question is, if my employer agrees to “extend”my original job offer , for example with a proper letter or document in writing, will this help? Does this require a new LMIA?
