Question re: Sponsorship Evaluation Form

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question regarding the Sponsorship Evaluation form that's got me a little confused. I am currently employed in the US but my job ends next Tuesday. I also have a job in my Canadian hometown that starts October 20th and a place to live until my husband is able to follow me. I am moving back home ahead of my family so that I know for sure at least one of us has a job...it just made more sense that way.

My question is this: Under section 2 ("Your Current Situation"), the form asks for employed/unemployed. If I am sending in the application this week and moving next week, should I enter "unemployed" and then in the description explain that I have a job in Canada starting Oct 20 (and include my offer letter with the application)?

Thanks!

Richelle

i would check employed and explain you are starting a job on oct 20th and supply the letter. techncally, you are employed, you have a job offer, the assignment just hasn't started yet.

I guess I would write my employment status of the day I sign the form, and attach a paper explaining your move, job change and job offer.

So if you are employed until next Tuesday, and you are signing the form this week, I'd still write employed... that's technically correct.
