Hello,
I read that for FSW total number of hour is calculated based on 30-hr/week. So, assuming 52 week in a year, 1 year work experience should include a total of 52*30= 1560 hours. Is my assumption correct?

Also, if I have 40 hr work week in my current job then is it safe to assume 10 month of work is equivalent to 1 year according FSW?

what am i missing??

Thanks

What you are missing is that you can't claim more than 30 hours per week. So, there is no way you become eligible without working for at least 52 weeks. And, 40 weeks with 40 hours = 40 weeks with 30 hours = 1200 hours only.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that 1-year of Continuous work experience = 40 weeks of work with minimum 30 hours????

People have a wrong assumption that if someone does overtime, then their 1-year of work can be achieved without actually working for a whole 1-year = 40 weeks.

Let it be 30/40/50/60 hours per week, its all going to add up to 1200 hours (40 weeks x 30 hours) in total at the end.

Hope this clears up your confusion. Good luck.
