Hello,

My last company has agreed to issue the referral letter as per the Canadian format. However, they have agreed to send me an electronic copy instead of a hard copy. Would that suffice for PR submission? Please let me know.

Thank You

I guess so. you will eventually have to scan it and upload it to EE

Thank you. But don't we have to submit all the hard copies anytime during the PR process?
I'm no expert (and yet I have to reach that point in my application) but from what I have read I haven't seen anything saying you need to provide hard copies of your documentation (besides the medical examinations that you should have with you on the landing day)

I had an additional question as well. I worked in the past for Quintiles (India) (the NOC is different from the primary NOC). I am unable to contact them for a referral letter. I have all the documents related to that work experience (offer letter, relieving letter, pay slips, contract). Can I include just this stuff as documentation or should I get a notarized copy of my job responsibilities?

Does this exp add to your score, if not move it to personal history. You don't need to provide documents.

I tried recalculating my CRS score (based on the calculator on this website) and the work experience points do not reduce if I remove this work experience. I checked the CRS calculator on IRCC as well. So, without the referral letter all other work related documentation is of no use?

Then you don't need any documents for this work exp if it doesn't decrease your score. Move the job to personal history.
