Question on notarizing documents for family class outland PR within Canada

Hi all,

I am in process of arranging all document for sponsoring my wife PR. All documents that we are going to use/ submit are in english. Do we still have to notarize it?

All documents are issued by some or other government body of India and are in 2 languages (English and state language).

Documents of my concern are as below:
Birth certificate
Divorce decree/ affidavit
Marriage certificate/ affidavit
passport
PCC

1. If you read the checklist for the country where you are applying from, it list the documents that are required to be either, originals, copies or notarized copies. Most checklist don't require notarized copies if they are in English or French.

Thanks PMM, Yes even in country checklist it is clearly mentioned that if documents are not in english/ french then translation and and notary is required.
