I am sponsoring my parent and I have a couple of questions about Form IMM5768 (financial evaluation for parents and grandparents sponsorship):
- Question 14 asks about the sponsor's employment history for the last three consecutive taxation years. I have been with the same employer, however my gross income/benefits changed. Should I create a new entry for each change? Also in "gross income/benefits for the period" should I take the same number in the total income in my notice of assessment? and if that is what I should do, should the "from" "to" dates be Jan 1 to Dec 31 to align with the taxation year?
- Also in Question 14, where they ask for "family size", should this number match the number is box 7? Note: in the last 3 consecutive years my parent was not financially dependent on me, so should I still include them in "family size" to be the same number as box 7?
- I am not able to electronically sign this form. Did anyone else experience this problem?
