Question for family sponsorship from outside Canada "Hong Kong Office"

Hi there:

I mailed my application end of July 2013.
My husband was approved as a sponsor in August.
File was transferred to Hong Kong Office in September.
My understanding is I was supposed to receive the email requesting me to mail them the passport, then the online status will change to in process, on the contrary, I checked my online status, it's already in process, but I haven't received any email.
Is this normal? I am concerned that I missed the email.

Yes looks like we have similar background
I m currently in toronto and my wife is in hong kong

Its good that yr status changed to in process, because mine is still saying application received

From what i read from the forum before, if the status is change
That means they started working on it and review all the necessary documents

Request ppt usually will take a few months

I saw another member applied in june but she got ppt request earlier in oct, so i believe u will get it soon as well
