please I looking for help about five group and community sponsorship

Is it right this process will stop this year?

Please note that the Canadian Government has ended the temporary exemption for Syrians and Iraqis. The official notice is posted here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2017-01-25.asp

This means that unless the refugee applicants have recognized refugee status from UNHCR or the country where they are currently residing, they are unable to apply through the Group of 5 or Community Sponsor stream.
