Hello there -

I am filling out my CIT0002 to apply for my citizenship, I just want to make sure I am not missing anything, here's my question:

- This one is a stupid one: do I need to include my citizenship from my country of birth?

- I had a J1 visa (student) in the USA for 3 months in 2008 and now I am J2 in the USA (my wife is J1, I have a visa for accompanying her). for the US I am considered NON-immigrant, do I still need to input this information on my CIT0002 form?

Thanks for your attention!

Country of birth: Yes, it literally says that right above the table :)

These Visa allowed you to do stuff in the states (beyond visiting), so they should in fact be listed in the table. Your J1 visa is a student visa, so list your status as "student" in the table. Your J2 visa also (most likely) allowed you to work in the states. So also list that visa and list your status appropriately. If you feel you can't fit enough detail in that column in the table, attach a separate sheet explaining it.

While J1 and J2 are considered non-immigrant visa by the US, that doesn't change the fact that holding such a visa is still an immigration status. "non-immigrant" is an immigration status.
