Question: CIC Messed up My Application

Hi folks,

I sent my apllication under CEC, but it shows PNP on my notification letter. Does anyone know what I should do?
I email CIC (CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca) and I didn't get any reply for over a week. And the Call Center is always busy.
Is there any other way to get in touch with them?

What do you mean when you say 'notification letter' ?

The one says my documents are complete and will be transfer to visa office.

Do you mean to say you have received your AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt)?
Does it read that your application has been received under PNP category ?

Should be it, AOR, but it doesn't show any thing like that. The letter is like:

Dear XXXXX,
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Provincial Nominee Program.

blablabla......


But what I applied for is CEC not PNP.
I phone CIC once and they just told me to email the intake office.
and the phone is always busy since last Wednesday.

Sorry to bother you with so many questions. Just wanted to be sure with your situation. In the past, we have seen Credit Card transactions debited for CEC fees to be reading 'PNP'. Also saw a couple of posts mentioning that they received AOR from PNP although they applied under CEC.

But not really sure if they received the communication with the same wordings '... under the Provincial Nominee Program'.

No worries, I just wanna make sure that my application is under the right program. They are just really unreachable.

I only made my 1st phone call success with only 8min waiting. and I'm not able to reach them again. like my number is blocked by the system.
after 2days I sent the email, I called again.
The system told me to enter my client# and verify my bday, and told me the system is busy please check the website. which only has limited contact info.
and I call again after another 2 days, the system just told me it's busy after I select the language.
What a difference between 8min wait and not even be able to get in the line to ask my question.

You've done the right thing in contacting them. I'm sure it is just an admin error and your application will def be processed under CEC - don't worry about it too much.

hi solaregg I know CIC call center so is slow tried to call them after 15 mintus not after 2 days and when u call select all the option and at the end press 0 then system gonna say the waiting approximately 10mintues and after 10 mintues they gonna pick up u phone
