Hi,

I got ITA in Jan 4th draw and currently I am in the process of collecting necessary documents. I am living in India and when i tried to take appointment for my spouse's PCC, I noticed that birthplace was given wrong in passport.

My spouse took passport some years back, and at that time placeA was given as birth place in passport. But, in 2015, we applied and got birth certificate, and there birth place is given as placeB. so what should we do? Can we give placeB as birthplace in PCC application and proceed? or can we proceed with PR formalities without submitting birth certificate? or should we get a new passport with birthplace corrected? I am totally confused! Please advise.

Birth certificate is required only for dependent children and not for primary applicant and spouse.....this is what I understand.
Even to obtain PCC, you do not need to show birth certificate.
